I began studying Cosmetology at Orange-Ulster Vo-Tech in 1988, graduated and received my New York State license in 1990. Since then I have worked in a variety of salons, from the large mall salon to the smaller, more exclusive type. I also set up shop at home and worked in a more secluded environment for five years. Throughout my career I have regularly attended hair shows and seminars in order to enhance my abilities and ethics. I have been trained in depth by several of the best companies in the industry, including Goldwell, Rusk, Enjoy, Keratin Complex, and Schwarzkopf. I have been a Mary Kay Representative since 2000 and continue to offer the entire line of skin care and cosmetics today. In 2007, I opened the doors of Salon 52. My goal in this business is to enhance people "from their outside in." By improving my clients' appearance, I can boost their confidence. Rather than seeing this as vanity, I believe we all have the right to enhance our beauty, and to enjoy life more as a result. I am a firm believer that the more we give, not just from our pockets but also from our hearts, the more we will receive in return. This is one reason why my salon is very active with charity organizations. One of my greatest rewards is watching a client leave my salon with her head held high because my work and my words have boosted her confidence.
